Oh the Little Black Dress.

LBD x 3

The little black dress. It is the reigning queen on the staple pieces. The must have in every girl's closet. Basically, it is the one thing that you will always have and yet always be on the look out for. Personally I love it a little more because Chanel made it iconic, but that is just me.

So why has the LBD not only survived but thrived in the circle of {fashion} life while many others has been sent to the back of the closet for the rest of eternity (or until you finally make a donation run to Goodwill)? Well darlings, that is easy. A) Black is the most slimming of the colors & no matter what; women will always want to look slim (duh.) B) It makes life a heck of a lot easier when you "have nothing to wear" seeing as how black goes with everything (including brown & navy...don't fight me on this one). But the most important reason? Versatility. Period, point blank, the end. LBDs come in literally every shape, size, cut, and fabric you can think of! You want one with a sweetheart neckline? Got it! You want one with a spaghetti straps? Done! You want one with more rhinestones than a Dolly Parton outfit? No problem (though you might want to rethink that for your future self's sake)!

Not only can you find the little black dress in virtually any form you could every want it in, but you can take a simple version of it and make outfits that look completely different with it almost every time! Don't believe me? Just watch!

Seeee!!! What did I tell you? With very little effort you can take your LBD from office attire to kickin' it with the girls! The little black dress is timeless and here to stay so make the most of yours! It is a piece that I highly recommend spending a little extra on to make sure you get a good quality dress that will last! It is an investment, trust me!

Jordin
