Decoding Fashion Girls

What Fashion Girls Really Mean When They Say...

"Let's Lunch!"
This is a sacred code for fashion girls. Are you ready to embrace the secret? Here it is: This is not always an actual invitation. The amount of times fashion girls throw around this phrase is outrageous! We essentially use it to end a conversation, be polite, or we have a new restaurant we want to try and can't find a squad member daring enough to venture out with us.

"Brunch"
Basically any meal you eat on Sunday or any non-Sunday meal that includes mimosas.

"Can you take my picture?"
We know this sounds like a question, but it's not. If we are having a good outfit day and you refuse to take our picture, we aren't really friends. Sorry, not sorry.

"These shoes will get better once I break them in."
Essentially this is how we convince ourselves to buy those shoes that we:
A. Don't need
B. Can pay for but can't really afford
C. Are so beautiful we have convinced ourselves that they are only uncomfortable because they need to be "broken in"

"Canadian tuxedo"
This is a simple one for the non fashion girls. The Canadian tuxedo simply means denim on denim. I don't usually like this fashion statement, as it reminds me of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake on the Red Carpet.

"Haul"
To most, "haul" means a large shopping spree...To a fashion girl however, it's a little more than that. For us, a "haul" means, "I've just bought the chic-est, more amazing new wardrobe! However, you won't see it for a few weeks because I spent all my money on these clothes, so drinks and food are out of the question for this month. #NoRegrets"

"Sunnies"
Simply a much cuter way to say sunglasses.

So there you have it! We aren't as difficult to understand as you thought!

Jordin
