A few months ago I attended a philanthropic event where we were given tickets for a chance to win raffle prizes to thank us for coming. Seeing as how I am one of those people who never win raffles, I almost didn't even bother to bring the tickets with me. But since I already bought them I figured it couldn't do any harm to just throw them in the buckets. I split my tickets up between this gorgeous Kendra Scott jewelry set and two 3-day passes to the Austin City Limits music festival. I had heard of the huge music fest but I had no idea what is was really like or even who would be there. Having already forgotten about this raffle, I received an email from the chairwomen of the event a few weeks later informing me that I had won the ACL tickets from the raffle. I was stunned. Not only had I somehow managed to win a raffle but I also won a prize that seemed to be the most popular of the options from the event! So I called up one of my best friends and found some other friends who were going and off we went to ACL!

The line up for this year had a lot of bands/artist that I had never heard of before (I'm too mainstream for my own good), but my friends seemed to know the majority of the performers and showed me all of this amazing music that I was completely missing out on! Plus the food was unbelievably good! I am still daydreaming of cheesy brisket nachos and refreshing watermelon aqua juice. 

 

 

 

                

 

 

   

It goes without saying that I am beyond happy that I won these tickets over the Kendra Scott prize (sorry Kendra). The music was fantastic, the days were wonderfully long, and the experience was beyond what I could have hoped for! I certainly cannot wait until next year!
