Seeing Red
I should've known the second I saw Rhianna floating above the masses in that chili-pepper red ensemble on Super Bowl Sunday, but it wasn't until I saw it dominating the runways during Fashion Month that I realized Valentino Pink is out and red is the new "it" color.
Almost every major designer sent at least one model down the catwalk with a red accessory or fitted in a red-hot look. People tend to shy away from red, tending to gravitate toward a more subtle color palette. In 2023, however, designers have made this vibrate hue feel so wearable. Go chic with a black and red combo, bold paired with flamboyant pink, or full-out glam in sparkles.
