TCO x Midori Linea
New York Fashion Week
Some may think that the greatest time of the year in New York is the holiday season. Who doesn't love the jolly sound of Christmas songs, the aroma of apple cider wafting through the farmer's market, the abundance of festive sweaters on passersby. Okay, maybe not the sweaters.
Nevertheless, I think there is a more exciting season in the city: New York Fashion Week. That's right, rather than the jingle of holiday bells, I look forward to the sound of camera shutters going off in the distance, the scent of Chanel No. 5 lingering in every coffee shop and near the shows, and all the latest and wildest trends strutting around these streets.
This year, I attended the Midori Linea NYFW party at The James Hotel in Nomad. Midori Linea is a jewlery brand created by designer, Sakura. The brand's signature pieces are their handchains, but they also offer bracelets, earrings, and necklaces in a vartiry of materials including 14k gold fill, gold plating, and semi precious stones.
After work, I stopped by my favorite wine bar in Midtown, Chateau 49, for a drink with my good friend, then headed downtown to the party. The James is a cheeky hotel on the corner of 29th Street and Madison Ave, that houses the ever-popping Seville Bar in its basement.

Arriving at 8:30pm and, after checking in with the lovely ladies in the lobby, I was whisked up to the penthouse suite. As soon as the doors opened, I was greeting by the booming live music and the noisy chatter of a good party.
First things first at any first-rate affair: The champagne bar!
While taking a stroll around the suite, I met a lovely new friend, Nonee. Nonee is another blogger who was making her Fashion Week party rounds. We sat with another new fashion friend and chatted about everything from day jobs, blogging, fashion politics, and what the rest of our Fashion Week plans looked like.
Cheers,
Jordin
