For someone like me who is a chronic over dresser, I can't help but admire people who dress like everyday is a special occasion. In the past, I have saved new pieces for events that I would consider "special occasions." However, my new outlook on the matter is simply to wear my newest clothes because they make me feel good! There's no need to keep a perfectly good cocktail dress locked away in a closet because you have yet to get an invite to a party you deem exquisite enough! Throw a blazer on top and pair it with loafers for a perfect brunch look!

 Stacey Bendet, CEO and creative director of Alice + Oliva, is an idol of mine for exactly this reason. As she is a designer, we expect her to dress impeccably well at all times, but this fashion queen is 100 percent over the top in the best kind of way. Whether it is a pair of sky high heels for yoga poses, a full, floor-length skirt for a day at the office, or a hat that even the most fashionable women at the Kentucky Derby would fiend for, Bendet clearly knows the importance of dressing like you're going somewhere better later.
