A Little Shift Goes a Long Way

Oh the shift dress, how I love you so! I remember when I first fell in love with the style. Andi took me to this boutique for some birthday shopping a few years back & I picked out this amazing blue Amanda Uprichard shift with pink palm trees on it! After realizing how magical this style was (I mean what other style is equal parts comfy, classic, & always makes you look thin?) I spent way too much time on Asos looking for more! 

While I was in Toronto, I picked up this wonderful shift dress by Jella Couture in M for Mendocino.

Okay so is this dress perfect or is it absolutely perfect?! Why is it so perfect? Well first, for obvious reasons, it is a shift dress (arguably one of the most flattering dress styles if you ask me). Second, the bold floral pattern practically pops right off the dress, which makes it super young & fun! And lastly, because when paired with the right accessories (like my new Henri Bendel bag) it is super easy to throw on and look like a million bucks! Don't believe me? So, in conclusion: Shift dress. They are flattering. A summer staple. Buy them. Wear them. Love them.
